How To Schedule Meetings With Potential Sponsors

Venture Hacks recently published a great article on scheduling meetings with investors, and we recommend using this format when trying to close a sponsorship with a brand/agency manager.

Note: this comes after you’ve met and given them an elevator pitch on your concept.

Key Points

  • Respond immediately and be available to meet immediately
  • BCC the introducer
  • If you don’t live nearby, find out where they are and let them know if you’re going to be there soon
  • Propose specific times to talk
  • If there’s a deadline, politely let them know.
  • Write less — you have no idea how busy a typical brand manager’s inbox is
